+Additional information: It was observed by Aelie Moondew and M-41D that the algae does not secrete its corrosive enzymes mindlessly, but rather as a deliberate process in response to the presence of suitable prey. When a captured [[Supplicants|supplicant]] fell into the water, its fleshy organic body was dissolved in a matter of minutes, but M-41D’s inorganic fingers conjured no like response when submerged.
