Whether the result of a grudge or just sheer misfortune, Arthur found himself briefly held hostage as part of Black Light retaliation against the Dockworkers’ Union during Chapter II of our story. Fortunately for him, our party came to his rescue.

It seems some awkwardness lingers between Arthur and Rook, which may explain why Arthur seems to avoid Cairwick Chapel.

A maid, of sorts, in service of the esteemed House Vespridge. She claims to report directly to Duchess Axelia.

Calliope’s clothing is fine and dignified, but her eyes are frightfully, inhumanly dark. Our party came across her locked in combat with a strange mechanical figure, and helped her defeat it. After the battle, she introduced herself without making eye contact, shared a bit of knowledge about the nobility, and warned Margot to be careful with The Gloaming Lantern.

|
When questioned on the matter, Calliope revealed herself to be a worshiper of the Black Rose. Calliope harbors a distrust for House Hypatia, but will not explain why; the nature of her work demands a certain level of secrecy.

Unlike most residents of the church, Oliver has a living relative within the city –an older brother– but the two live apart for reasons Oliver has not shared... perhaps because Arthur would find it awkward to live together with Rook, his ex-boyfriend? However, Oliver still cares deeply for his brother, and he’s grateful to our party for rescuing him from Black Light’s attack on The Dockyards.
